My Passport Ultra 2TB plugged in. Recognized by Windows 10 file explorer. Recognized by WD drive utilities. Not recognized by WD backup software. Says it’s offline. Why does this have to be so difficult? Any ideas or solutions?

Use Macrium Reflect free(or paid version if you need extra features).It is at least 10 times better than using WD backup software.
