My Passport not detected in USB 3 but works in USB 2

I have a 1TB My Passport. When I plug it into the USB 3 port, it powers up but doesn’t autodetect and doesn’t show in devices

But it works fine if i plug it into a USB 2 slot.

I am using W7 64 bit, and I have just updated the driver

Any ideas?

The model is a WDBACX0010BBK, and i don’t see a USB 3 driver for it on this site - only USB 2

There is a sticker on the drive saying it is USB 3 compatible with USB 2

So is the drive USB3 or not?

it should work also on 3.0
