My Passport for Mac Won't Eject!

I need help. I have five 4TB My Passport for Mac using macOS Big Sur. One is used for my time machine backups and the other 4 are used for my my photography work flow. On 3 of the My Passport for Mac I can add files, go into Lightroom, exit out of Lightroom and they eject fine. I have one My Passport for Mac that behaves differently. I can add files, then the drive will eject fine. However, if I go into Lightroom, then exit out of Lightroom for some reason I cannot eject the drive. I make sure to have no programs or apps open, I have relaunched Finder and still the drive will not eject. The only thing I can do is to shut down my MacBook Pro each time I am done with this drive. I do not understand. I have also made sure to empty my trash. I called WD and they think there is something still open on my computer that is preventing this. I am uncertain of that because just a half an hour before I have used a different 4TB My Passport for Mac, worked on some photos in Lightroom, exited out, and that drive ejects fine. BUT this one particular drive is not behaving well. I am so afraid to keep working on this drive. Anyone have any ideas, please share. Thank you!

Hi @PFried3257,

Please refer to our knowledge base article given below and download the “WD Drive Utilities for Mac” and install it on your macOS computer and run the full drive test on your My Passport.
