My Passport Access Denied Win 10 - cannot access any files

Hi,
On Win10 64bit. I have a 2TB My Passport that I’ve been using to move media files around. Suddenly I cannot access it at all. I click on the drive icon in Explorer and I get the message box:-

Location is not available
F:\ is not accessible.
Access is denied.

I have tried changing permissions and I can see it working through the folders on the drive but then it comes up with error message “Failed to enumerate objects in the container” for IndexerVolumeGuid and WPSettings.dat and I still cannot access the drive. I have not password protected or encypted it.

Any suggestions?

Does the same happens on a different computer?

Have you tried using a different USB cable?

Thanks for your reply. I am surprised to say when I went to check on it to answer your
queries that it is working now. I tried several things yesterday with permissions and
ownership etc and something has worked. I switched everything off overnight and it must
have required that full power off reboot to come into effect. Working now on both Win10
and an old XP machine so all good.
