Cant access files on my passport 1tb

I have been using My passport ultra metal for a while now. But recently i re-installed windows and upgraded to windows 10 on my pc. Now all of the sudden i cant acces half of the files that are there. i get a message that says “You where denied access to this folder.” and “you have to use the category security to access this folder”

i have tried the WD drive utilites diagnostics but it stil doesn’t work

please help

it says i dont have permission to acces the folders, that i need permission from an administrator. But i am the admin.

Have you tried taking ownership of the folder from the operating system?
