Hi I cant seem to figured out why my new, My book essential 2TB,  wont work on my blu ray player or my smart tv. (each have a USB connection), and why  My book essential 1TB works perfectly fine.

I brought a new one because my 1TB is full with photos, movies, and music. by pluggin my book into the blu ray I can watch my movies and listen to music. but I cant with the new 2TB.

I own a mac and both extenal hard drives works perfectly fine.

help will be apperciated

Is the new drive format compatible with your blueray player? You might have better luck posting one of the forums dealing with video.
