My Book Essential 2 TB not conecting to TV

I have Sharp LC-40 LE 530 E TV. Wanted to wach hd movies from external HDD.So I bought Western Digital My Book Essential 2 TB external HDD. But wen i pluged in HDD my sharp said that there is

no external HDD pluged. Where is the problem???

Check your TV specs it might need to be formatted different.

This drive is formatted in NTFS, you need to check if your TV set support this or only FAT 32.
