I bought 2 My Book Elite. I use Update Drive Firmware, but it shows “Cannot install this hardware”.  Also, I plug in the hard drive, it is no response at all.

Before I have bought WD eternal hard drive 500GB & 1TB, it’s easy to use, just plug in, then work. I don’t know what’s difference???

I would recommend to access Disk Management to verify if the My Book elite has to be formatted.-
