Moving the HDD to a new enclosure - Passport Ultra 2TB 2015 model

Hi, I’m trying to move the HDD from my passport to a new enclosure that has a esata connector, as I don’t have a usb3 connector on my computer,. The first step is a no go, since I can’t figure out how to disassemble the dang thing. Anyone have a guide or pictures or video they could share?

Added questions: I see the 2013 model has the USB3 plug for some reason soldered to the drive itself, meaning I may not be able to use this 2015 drive in any other enclosure. Is this true?

And why is this kind of info not available for people to see when they shop around?

Please bear in mind such proceedings will invalidate your hard drive’s warranty. It is also not possible to know the interface type until the unit is dismantled. It could either be SATA or native USB.

I suppose I’ll be returning this, then. Thank you.
