Issue with Griffin Sansa FM transmitter

I previously had a Sansa View with the Griffin FM transmitter/charger (Amazon.com) and I could plug in my head phones while the view was charging, and listen to it just fine.  This is when I didn’t have a CD deck in my car (it was stolen).

Fast forward to now, I own a Fuze and have a CD deck installled in my car.  I drive for my job, so I listen to the Fuze all day.  I plug in the transmitter to charge it up, and plug in a cable from the Fuze head phone jack and into my CD decks AUX input, and all I hear is static. Nothing at all except hum back from my car.

Any advice?

My guess is that the FM transmitter would work just fine to listen. Am I right? If so then I would say it is an interferance issue. The FM transmitter which is proably coated in plactic rubber, is interfering with the aux cord which is probably not sheilded as well. What happes is that there is a miniscule electrical charge that comes off of the FM transmitter, and because of their proximity it is blocking out the Aux chords signal. None of that means anything to you really, just that your Aux wont work. I would just use the transmitter.

If you have an Aux-In jack, then why do you need an FM transmitter? The Aux-In will offer better sound quality and only requires a two way 3.5mm jack cord.

The OP said he uses the Transmitter to charge his player. How ever if the player will last all day, keep the charger in the glove box for when you need it and just use the Aux Jack. Good Catch Shenanagins I did not think about sound quality.
