A company fixed my hard drive. Unfortunately, they put WD Unlocker on it, which means that every time I go to use the drive, I have to unlock it first. How do I take it off without screwing up the drive?
Download and install WD Security, you can then use it to modify your password settings. You probably had the drive set to auto unlock on your old Operating System and that was removed when they reformatted the computer. Remove the password and then you can add it back on again and use the auto unlock feature or just leave the password off if you choose.
You probably had the drive set to auto unlock on your old Operating System
It was never locked.
What is the model of your drive so I can find out what options you do have access to . Do not post the serial number, just the model number.
