How about a Sansa Cast player?

How about a player built for those whose main interest is podcasts and audiobooks? What would such a player have? A built in speaker, variable speed playback with automatic pitch correction, a built in option to convert files to 32 or 64 kbps to save space, having files listened to completely being marked as read, and those partially listened to being marked with a different symbol for partially read, a function on the player to delete all read podcasts or audiobook files, and special equilizations and other audio enhancements aimed at making noisy speech recordings more intelligible and less noisy. Of course such a player should also do well at playing music. it would be nice if it also has AM/FM HD radio, and an easily swappable battery.

While you’re sitting on Santa’s knee, don’t forget to ask for your full-size SDXC card slot. :stuck_out_tongue:

It doesnt sound like that terrible of an Idea, but keep cost in consideration. The HD tuner would add significant cost to most players, and  with sansa’s leaning toward “Value” players… I dont think thats a Possibility
