Hi i just installed the 480gb ssd in mid 2012 macbook pro 15" one week ago, everything is perfect very happy with drive, i want to update firmware to 211, my problem is i have no dvd drive, it says to burn to dvd first, is there any other way to do this, could i use sd memory card? thanks in advance.
you can do it from USB drive as long as your MAC supports USB boot. You will need a third party app like power ISO (not sure if that is available for MAC) to put the ISO image on the USB and make it bootable.
