Okay, I have tried MSC and MTP both and different media manager programs and I am still getting duplications of tracks on the external and internal mem. This ties in with my difficulties of playlist. If I load a playlist that has songs on both the internal and external mem to, say the external mem, the programs I have tried want to add the songs on the playlist that are on the internal mem. The same thing happens the other way if I try to put it on the internal mem. I have loaded all my music, unplugged the Clip+ so that it can rebuild the data list, then replugged it in to add the playlist after waiting sufficient time for whatever program I am using to populate its data with the Clip+ data and I still have the same problem.
I know m3u playlists can’t contain tracks in both mem locations since the m3u playlist file must be in the same folder as the tracks. I have read in the forum that it is possible to have playlists with tracks in both the internal mem and external mem. How is this done? What program(s) do I need? What file extension should the playlist be? I have been working on this for almost a week. Loading music as MSC, no luck, reformatting and loading MTP, no luck, reformatting and loading Auto Detect, no luck, back to MTP. Is it possible I have a defective player? The only playlist I can get to play music from both the internal mem and external mem is a Go playlist, which I can’t save and rename. This has gotten me so #&%*)(# frustrated. If I’m trying to do the impossible then I wish someone would tell me, but like I said I read in this forum that it could be done. I don’t want tracks duplicated from internal and external mem. To me that negates the purpose of the micro SD card. I paid nearly as much for a 16GB micro SD as I did for the Clip+ 8GB.
According to Sansa I am running the latest version of firmware. Maybe that is the problem and I should go back to an older version.
Please Help!!!
