Dashboard says SanDisk Extreme SSD Security is “Frozen”, will that prevent the firmware update from installing? (currently on ver R201, Dashboard says latest version is R211). I tried creating a USB boot drive and installing the firmware update that way, but it failed too.
I’m told by Sandisk support that the Security Frozen apparently shouldn’t prevent the firmware update from working and there is no firmware update for my drive and I have the current firmware installed. They tell me the “meta data” in the new version of the Dashboard utility is wrong and will be updated soon. The only other thing I see wrong is the KB website also indicates there is a newer Firmware for my drive:
