A friend of mind is in a Federal Prison and he was asking me for some help regarding his Clip Sport. I’ve been searching the internet regarding how to do a factory reset but the only thing I’ve found was something he’s already done. He said the instructions he had was that this was a soft reset not a hard/factory reset.
Here’s what he’s done and what he sees.
After putting a new song on the player he started having weird issues with his GoList. He has 3 GoLists and one stopped working. Eventually, all three stopped working. He tried the reset when you hold a combination of two buttons for 20 seconds and now when he clicks on his GoList, all he sees are a bunch of characters that make no sense. He said it looks more like corrupt text.
I’ve searched for a factory reset option but all I can find is how to hack/jailbreak the SanDisk or how to do a soft reset. Obviously, I’m not interested in giving him instructions on how to “jailbreak” the device. Not only could it get him in trouble, but I imagine I could get in trouble too.
Does anyone have any suggestions? He’s fine with wiping it clean and re-downloading all his songs. He bought this in 2015 and i asked why don’t you just get a new one. He said not only are they $90, but he’s heard some bad comments on the newer version.
I’m hoping someone on here has heard of these issues and has an option to fix it. OR, if anyone knows a tech support number, I could try that.
