Clip doesn't think it is synched to Rhapsody

After many months of successful use with my Rhapsody account and Sansa Clip i’m stuck in a weird state where the Info section of the Clip shows that the subscription is up to date and ready to go but when I try to play any music on the Clip it is showing the message that I have to synch to play the song.  Tried turning it on and off and resynching again with Rhapsody with no luck.  I’d prefer not having to reformat the device and download all the songs again.  Would love a suggestion on how to resolve.
