Can't get it work with iPhone

It already worked … but I can’t get it to work :frowning:

I have the following devices:
iPhone 14
Sandisk 1TB Extreme SSD (I want to store pictures and videos on it while on vacation)
Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter
Anker USB C Hub 341
Anker PowerPort Atom III 60W

I had already plugged the whole thing so that I could access the SSD from the iPhone.
Under the Files app, I now also have the entry “Extreme SSD” permanently, which no longer disappears when I unplug it.
The top level folders are also still visible, but 0 files show up when you open them.

I have the suspicion that therein also lies the problem: the entry “Extreme SSD” should disappear automatically and then the iPhone would also react when the device is new/recognized again !?.

Unfortunately, I’m not so familiar with the Apple cosmos and try to solve problems that you do not have with an Android phone.
