Using latest version of ventura on an m1 MacBook Air. Sandisk portable ssd. Latest firmware installed. Trying to move files to another folder on the portable drive or to a folder on the mac. No move or cut option. Only copy available. Can do a command delete to delete files. Created a support case all they did was refer me to apple support how to copy files. Is there something wrong with the drive? Why can’t I move files?
Hi @Dfantauuzo,
Have you opened a Support Case? If not opened, for more information, please contact the SD Technical Support team for best assistance and troubleshooting:

The issue has been resolved. After further research I discovered the finder in Mac systems has changed the way you move files. There is no cut command to put them in the clipboard. You can copy the files with command + c. And the press command + 0ption +V to move the files to the new destination. Thanks for reaching out.
Thanks. Yes, that’s the exact keyboard shortcut combination to move a file on a Mac and delete the original file after it’s place to the new location:
1). Copy the file with Command + C
2). Go to the new location, press Command + Option + V
If you want, you may use a file management app to quickly move files. Alternatively, combine the right-click menu and shortcut to move (cut & paste ) a file on the Mac:
- Right-click a file and choose Copy.
- Go to the new location and right-click on any free area.
- Press the Option key > you’ll see Move Item Here, then click it.
