I have an E260 with firmware 01.00.12E. If I upgrade to 01.02.18F will that enable FM radio?
yes. (at least i think so.)
Maybe. Some European units were built without radio. Some were built with the radio but disabled it in firmware. Try the change and see what happens.

Tuned to 91.9 (local BBC Radio 3)…
Not a sound!
Does this mean the radio chip is not there?
