My Clip Zip has a black vertical line on the screen. it looks like dead pixels. However, they do sort of change color but they arent very bright. i think i remembered this being fixed when i did a complete factory reset and format. but after i reloaded my music (and upgraded to firmware 1.01.18) it was back. I’ll factory reset/format again if necessary to see if that fixes it, or take pictures of it if you want to see what it looks like. Any help is appreciated!
There’s nothing anybody here could do for you. If the line is not there, great. If it is, it’s a defect in the OLED screen. The only way to fix it is to get a new player. It should still be under warranty as the Zip hasn’t been out but about 6 months, so SanDisk should replace it at no charge to you.
I was just wondering if it was software releated since i remembered it not being there after i formatted the clip zip, but I suppose I could just get it replaced… pardon the noobness, but where should i go for warrenty replacements?
You might try reapplying the firmware and see if this is a software issue (likely, not).
