bizarre problem with Sansa Clip + 4GB

I am having a strange problem with my player. It is a 4GB Clip +. I use a 8GB Micro card with it. The player recognizes the card, and plays the files.

Ocassionally, after selecting an album (I have no individual files but all albums with correct tags) the player does not play the first song at all. Nothing happens. I press the home button. Select music, and choose another album. this time the display shows the previous file info. still nothing happens. I turn the clip off and on. That doesn’t do the trick. 

When I try to use the player next day, everything is okay!

I just updated to the newest firmware today. I am charging the batter now hoping that the new firmware will get rid of this issue.

If the same situation happens, what am I supposed to do?

Thank you for the quick answer. I noticed that you are always here to help idiots like myself! well, The player seems okay now with the newest firmware. I will try it again at the gym tomorrow to see what happens. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I will try your suggestion if I run into the same problem.
