Bios doesn't detect ssd plus

Not sure what I’m not getting here. My ssd plus doesn’t show up at start up in bios. Once Windows 10 is running it shows up in Explorer, disk management, etc. Can access it, etc. No problems, but I want to use it as my boot drive so bios not seeing it presents certain problems. Also not a cable/connection problem.

So what am I doing wrong? Thanks

what SATA mode is set in your BIOS? if it is legacy IDE or RAID try setting the SATA mode to AHCI.

I did. So now it’s seen but… Tried to do a clean install of windows on it but it says “can’t create partition on drive”. Really disappointing. Have never had a problem like this before. This should be really easy.

you can use the diskpart clean command to clear all partitions from the drive. after that you should be able to create a new partition on the drive and install the OS.

Wanted to let you know that your advice was spot on. Did diskpart and everything worked as it should.

I know this is a little late, but hey, better late than never.

glad it worked. Thanks for letting us know.

Sorry i have the same problem, the sata option is already on ahci mode,  but there’s no way my bios can see the ssd.
