flac files tagged with mp3 tag don’t show album art but mp3 files do show album art. Why?
Have you tried putting the image files in the Album folder (alongside the audio files) and naming it ‘album art. jpg’ or ‘folder.jpg’?
This is a proven way to get album art to display and there’s only one image per album, rather than an image per song file (making more room for music).

Personally, the only player I use FLAC files on is my Clip+ which doesn’t display album art anyway, so I can’t attest 100% that it will work, but this method works for other formats so should work with .flac files as well.

FYI I have had a lot of bad luck naming the album art files as “album art.jpg”. This "proven mthod worked fine for the old Fuze, but for the Fuze+, “folder.jpg” is the only thing that works for me. I do’nt know if my Fuze+ has some kind fo bug, of if it just doesn’t recognize “album art.jpg” as being what the name suggests. These pictures do show up under photos, though. IDK why.
