New to using a WD Passport ex. drive. Would anyone know how I would open
the drive to see what files were backed up? I backed up many photos, but don’t
know how to access the drive to see if they are there. Thanks for any info. you
could provide.

What software did you used to backup the files?
If you used the WD Smartware, the files will be inside of the drive on a folder called WD.smartware.swstor
