64GB flashdrive unusable in Windows 7 64bit

Thanks a lot SanDisk Guru  Ed_P for the very helpful answer, it really helped me to clarify what means buying sandisk products.

I have used others usb keys of different vendors on the same x64 windows 7 pc withous any problem.

Therefore you convinced me that this is a  windows 7 x64 issue , this is the reason why I will never buy SanDisk products anymore

We don’t consider people asking for support as dummies.  We do consider people who make illogical generalizations illogical though.

Another of the illogical generalizations.

People who want support describe what they have done to resolve the problem, like reading the posting several above yours that had a link that might resolve the problem and trying what it said.  Did you do that?  I suspect not.

ANybody who has samsung kies program in computer and sandisk flashdisk… they donot work togather. in start menu of your windows (mine is w7 home) write “msconfig” and enter.

then a window will appear. there, you go to statup and uncheck everything about KIes. this is the startup programs to start automatically when win starts. it will as to resatr. do it.

then next time your sandisk will not be recognised. dont care. without touching sandisk, shut down computer and turn on again. every thing will be fine.

I read it smwhere and applied 4 myslef now everything works.

Kies? you have to start manually when you need.
