I have tried to format this drive many different ways, and the highest amount it will give me is 200MB. Is this a defective drive or is there something else that I can try? Using Windows 7, 64 bit, if that matters.
Return it to where you bought it, Something’s wrong.
This worked great for me:
Download SDFormatter from here, then install it, open the program and click format. It should fix any issues.
Hope that works for you! Have an awesome day.
An interesting app SDFormatter but there is nothing on their website or in their documentation that indicates it supports anything other than SD/SDHC memory cards. There is no reference to flash drives.
do a google search for hp disk storage format tool. it works on all devices and will restore the original capacity if possible.

Indeed. However, I used it for a 250 GB flash drive that was not SD at all, and it worked swell. It’s definitely worth a shot, in my humble opinion.
