16GB SanDisk Cruzer Glides reads 1.9GB on Windows XP and Windows 7

Why is both my desktop Windows XP and my netbook Windows 7 telling me that my 16GB is a 1.9GB flash drive?

Are you sure it’s not a fake or counterfeit? Fakes are generally a 2GB cards or low-capacity drives doctored/hacked up to appear as something larger, like 16 or 32GB ones.

First time I’ve seen this yet. Can you please post a screenshot?

Why?  :confounded:

A screenshot isn’t going to tell, or show anything different than what the OP as already stated.

It may be the first you’ve seen or heard of it, but it’s very common and many have been burned by buying 32GB cards (and before that, 16GB ones) off eBay from China at ridiculously low prices that are fake/counterfeit.
