Here are a few comments about your recent discoveries.
One way to resolve your discovery #1.
Let’s play any song, put it on pause and rewind/forward it a little bit. There is a high chance that player will show that the song is playing, but it isn’t, because we put it on pause before rewinding/forwarding. So the sound is gone.
Fix- force restart
-> Maybe try changing the volume Up or Down by 2 clicks.
Clarifications for your discovery #3
Let’s go to Music -> Songs -> press Shuffle.
->In my experience, Music -> Songs -> Shuffle will be only active for the current Music mode session.
(The option menu shows shuffle = Off.)
Now go to Music -> Songs -> Select any song. __
Press menu button and you will see that shuffle is turned on, but it actually isn’t (UI bug?)
->In my experience, there are 2 ways to turn Shuffle On that will stick across all Music mode sessions.
(1) Settings -> Music Options -> Shuffle = On.
OR: (2) Music -> Songs -> Select a song to play -> Option Menu -> Shuffle = On.
AND, the the fixed Shuffle can be turned off using one of these menu selections.
About your discovery #4
Don’t know why, but player freezes when it tries to play this file http://www58.zippyshare.com/v/XGHgn7dx/file.html
-> The Clip Jam will not reliably play m4a files encoded by FFmpeg.
