Works on iPhone Not on iPad?

I have just received an IXpand drive and it works on my iPhone 14 but does not detect it on my iPad (10th generation).
Could it be a setting on the iPad?
Has any one come across this problem before ?

I have spoken to a local Apple centre and they found on an Apple forum, that the problem is that the iPad requires an additional source of power. They suggested that I purchased an Apple multi port adapter so that connect one of the ports to a power source to provide the extra power it requires. I will email you later this week when I have received the adapter.
