Hello, I have a WD Blue SN580. I read that 24H2 broke these SSDs so we need to firmware update it. People said firmware update solved the issue. But even tho I updated it, my problems weren’t fixed, and they increased. While gaming, games suddenly start to stutter. FPS downs to 10-20 and a few second it returns it self. It occurs irregularly. Sometimes 10-15 minutes without a issue and sometimes it happen 2 times in a minute. What can I do?
If you’re experiencing stuttering and FPS drops on your drive after updating the firmware, try these fixes: Check SSD health using WD Dashboard and CrystalDiskInfo, monitor disk usage in Task Manager, and set your power plan to High Performance while disabling PCI Express Link State Power Management. Update your chipset, storage drivers, and BIOS, and consider switching NVMe drivers in Device Manager.
You can also enable write caching and disable write-cache buffer flushing if you have a UPS. If the issue persists, rolling back to Windows 11 23H2 may help until Microsoft releases further fixes.
Try rolling back the firmware update or checking for a newer patch.
