Windows 10 - WD SmartWare - Why Locked icon in SmartWare

I already have WD 3TB external hard drive works fine with Windows 10.

Just bought a WD 5TB (WDBWLG0050HBK) and after installing I get the Locked icon in SmartWare for this new drive.

Any ideas why?

Hello,

The new drive that you are adding, is a WD Elements that does not come with the WD Smartware app. Please note that you will need to get the WD Smartware Pro in order to create a backup to that drive.
