Windows 10 does not recognize my external WD hard drive, only Drop Box Cloud

I am new to this community. I have a 3 year old WD external USB3 hard drive. I just learned that WD offers free backup software. So I downloaded the software onto the external drive (K). I installed the software.

When I start WD Backup to configure it for the first time, the only drive it sees is Drop Box and not Drive K. I do not want to use the Drop Box cloud. Does anyone have suggestions as to what my next step should be?

The WD Backup is packaged with new drives. It won’t read any drives it didn’t come with.
