But why do these two usb look different?
New vs old. Counterfeit. Pre-pandemic vs post-pandemic. USB2 vs USB3.
If you have the serial number code for the USB drives, you may contact Sandisk Support for proper verification that those are genuine and not counterfeits.
This is the best and most reliable way to be able to tell if one is counterfeit or not.
Sandisk even recommends that you contact them with the serial number if you are not sure about its authenticity.
The serial number should be located on the USB itself, or on the packaging if you still have it around.
Otherwise, it is impossible to discern them from pictures alone because there are many great fakes in the market.
