I purchased two USB drives from eBay recently and got these in the mail. For one, I’ve never seen such plain red packaging. Examining both USB drives, I noticed they had the same serial number on the back. Taking them apart and comparing with pictures online shows vastly different circuit boards and chips.
The package says 2019 on the back, but its a USB 2.0 drive. Are these still being made? Or is the PCB legit and just weird packaging?
