Which software for backups?

Just curious- but do most owners of WD external drives use the Smartdrive software for backups or third party software such as Acronis?

I only wish that Smartdrive could create a full image of my drive before it begins backing up documents- which apparently is all it can do.

So, I am going to install Acronis.

Smartdrive’s big plus is that it’s a no brainer.

I use a combination of software. I use Windows Backup for my Full System backups, and than keep a secondary (on the same drive) more regular SmartWare backup of my pictures, videos, etc.
