Hello I am a New Member and I am looking for a User Book/Manual for the above subject. I have tried for about 1 hour on the WD site and I can’t find anything. I must be looking in the wrong Place. My new drive arrived when I was ill and a friend asked if he should unpack it. I said yes but did not tell him to keep any packaging that it came in. So I have no instructions at all. Also I Plugged the USB lead which has a blue plug in to the USB 3 socket but nothing happened. I don’t know if I need any extra software so would be very grateful for any help. Thank you.
Power connected … USB connected; however, the Element is not being recognized. At initial connection the white light on the unit blinks rather than going solid. It was recognized initially and I transferred much data. ??
