Is there a way we can purchase the spare parts - power cord / power converter board?

Or can the case with all that board be sold separately?

I have an WD80EFAX that is not powering on and think it is the board that the power cord plugs into as two power cords have been tried to get it to power on.

Yes I have it apart as it is out of warranty - I just want to get it powered on and retrieve the data.

If it’s an “External Drive” as you posted in the External Drive forum

easy enough to buy/try a 3rd party enclosure if the USB board is faulty.

If the Logic Board is faulty, then that’s a lot more serious.

WD doesn’t sell components for DIY repairs … try Ebay

Failing that … get a quote from a Data Recovery Service if you’re desperate to recover your data.

Actually re-seating the card allowed me back in, which I did several times. Copying data off of it now as we speak.
I have about 40 TB of external drives, any recommendations on a backup process/program would be greatly appreciated.
