got a wd3200h1u had it on the xp running lappy, and now i want it plugged into my Vista lappy to get files from it and add new ones etc, but Vista only recognises the drive as to partitioned hard drives and goes to format it.
it no longer comes up as My Book.
where can I find the appropiate software or a fix
The same has happened to my WD 500 My Book. Vista does not recognize it and calls it F-drive (system) and wants me to format it. My v.imp data is there. Please help in suggestions. I tried many driver fixes and uninstalling from Device Manager and plugged in USB…no change - still comes us as F-Drive as if internal Hard drive and needs to be formatted before accessing…Dont know what esle to do…Help?
