WD Ultra hard-drive - need to use with PC but previously used with Mac

Hello,

I had purchased a WD Ultra hard-drive some time ago now, and had used it with a PC initially, and then formatted it so that I could use it with my Macbook Pro.

However, since I last used the hard-drive I have sold the Macbook and gone back to using a PC. I wondered if there was a way of ensuring the PC recognises the hard-drive without having to format it - as I don’t have any way to transfer over the data (includes general files photos / images from weddings, honeymoons etc).

If anyone can help would be much appreciated.

Best bet would be to use something like Paragon (which might be free as long as you’re only READING from the drive) to copy the data over to a temporary space, then reformat the disk and then move it back.

If you want access for both PC and Mac, format it as exFAT.
