WD Sync... I MUST be missing something

I want to SYNC a folder from a file server to multiple computers.

I install WD Sync on the file server and select a local folder to sync to my MyCloud Mirror. That seems to work.

Then I install WD Sync on a laptop, and choose an empty local folder and the remote folder on the MyCloud where the file server is syncing to. And… nothing? Why are the contents of the remote folder not sync’d to the local folder on the laptop?

Have you looked at the User Manual, CH.4 P.21? http://products.wdc.com/library/UM/ENG/4779-705103.pdf

Here’s your User Manual for the My Cloud Mirror and I don’t see anything in it about WD Sync.

You should probably look here. That’s the WD Sync software site. You’ll notice under “Applicable Products” the MyCloud Mirror is clearly listed.

Yes, I have the same link in my favorites. Try this link, http://learn.mycloud.com/ ,click on the image of the My Cloud and My Cloud Mirror, scroll down and read, How to setup and use WD Sync. Hope this helps.

WD Sync will automatically and continuously synchronize files from a ‘My Cloud’ folder that will be added to your computers ‘Favorites’
