I own a WD My Cloud Mirror and have installed WD Sync.
When I delete some file(s) from my local computer disk, which is synced with ‘WD Sync’, the files stays on the My Cloud Mirror drive.
Isn’t it supose to delete also from there? It says that the my cloud is up to date and it doesn’t show up the new file/folder structure as it is on local disk.
I just spent the month of January trying to bring up a new unit and get WDSync to function as advertised.
Says it’s up to date when it’s not, Doesn’t sync random files for no good reason, won’t reliably sync to multiple computers.
After support finally said they had no clue as to what the problem was or how to make it work, I uninstalled WDSync and went with GoodSync. Can be ran as a backup or real time sync.
So far, everything is working perfectly.
I have exactly the same problem but buying Goodsync for 30$ for each computer is not an option. I could have stayed with my old WD Mybook. The sync function was the reason to upgrade to MY Cloud Mirror.
There doesn’t seem to be a fix from WD since. Is there any statement from WD about this topic?
Honestly I have not controlled anymore the sync of files.
Last time I did it, I saw that it did sync the files, but I don’t know if we can trust this application.
