I bought a My Passport Ultra 2TB drive and installed the software. The system told me there was an update so I installed it too (WD_Smartware_Installer 2.2.1.6 zip software). But I get this message every time I try to run it. I am running Windows Vista on a Dell laptop and did install the Microsoft Net software. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the software a few times and rebooted in between and after.
How can I fix this?

Hello TorontoWD, try running Microsoft fix it to uninstall Smartware, restart you PC and then try again to install the latest version. Check the link below for the steps.
