Just want to know how and if i can use WD smartware from a 1TB My passport essential to back up 3 other smaller GB my passport external hard drives. I dont want to back up my c drive from my computer - I want to be able to back up other external hard drives using the WD smartware.

If the drive is compatible with WD Smartware you will be able to run a backup without problems.-
