Wd smartware available update notifications continue but do not install

I receive an “update available” every time the computer boots.  The “2.0.1.2.zip” installer loads, then the WDSmartware installation box shows but the progress bar never activates.  The installation dialogue instructs to “Finish.”

The version shown on the settings tab continues as “2.0.0.”

It appears that the most current update [per the update checker “2.0.1”] is not being installed.  Any suggestions?

Hello, if the update is not installing correctly, you can try uninstalling the version that you have and then doing a clean installation of the latest version.
