WD Passport Ultra and WB My Book 1TB

I am not sure if this is the proper place to ask my question but thought I would start here. I just bought the WD Passport Ultra and installed all of the software that came with it. I also have an older WD My Book 1 TB. I tried to use the WD software that came with my new Passport Ultra to run some diagnostics on the older WD My Book but got this message “attach a supported WD drive”.

Any suggestions?

Hi utahperson, welcome to the Community. If you are using Smartware to run the test, it will not recognize older drives that don’t support it. To run a test you can use DLG, check the link below for more information.
