I have a laptop with a bad hard drive and am trying to transfer the files from my old laptop to a new one; but have not been successful. I have both a passport and another WD. I looked into cloud storage but would prefer to not spend money since I have two drives. I am not looking for the WD drives to be a regular back up until I transfer the files over. I loaded the software, followed the instructions but it didn’t work.
