I have a 1TB WD My Passport external drive (had quite a long time!) - which I used to back up a great deal of photos
When using my Mac, I can plug it in, and the drive is recognised.
I can see the files, and look at the photos, however the drive is locked and so are all the individual photos.
I can unlock the drive, but am unable to unlock the photos - which means I cannot edit them, move or remove them
HOWEVER, when I plug the drive into an old windows laptop, I have free access to all.
How can I unlock so I can use on my Mac please.
