I just brought a REGULAR USB 2.0 hard drive. I transfered my data to it via my laptop and tried to connect it to the ps3. It was not recongized by the ps3. I downloaded EaseUS to try and reformatt it to FAT32. It reformatted but still wont work. I can’t stop the smartware on it? I just need help because I had the passport USB 3.0 + 2.0 but i took it back to the store after reading everything on here for just a USB 2.0 to get the same results.
Hi, be sure to use the USB cable that came with the Passport, the longer the USB cable, the less energy the Passport will receive, also if you created a 1TB FAT32 partition, try creating one with 500GB.
