Wd external HD used with xp no will

g’day,

we have model # WD10000EB035-01 drive, it was used on an XP computer, now will it wok on a windows 7 computer?

need to get some files from it as the XP machine has crashed

Hi lensgarden, it should work, but it is something that cannot be guaranteed, this model is only supported to work on Windows 2000/XP and Vista or Mac OS 10.3

If it doesn’t work in Windows 7 try booting from a Linux Live  CD sometimes that will work.
